Hilliard, Ohio: The Hilliard Civic Association wishes to announce that, due to health issues, Dan Baird has withdrawn from touring for the remainder of 2017. However, Dan's band, Homemade Sin, will still headline the Americana Main Stage at Old Hilliardfest 2017.
At Dan's personal invitation, Joe Blanton will join Homemade Sin as guest front man for the rest of the year. Joe Blanton is well known to fans of Homemade Sin as a member of Nashville rock band, The Bluefields, which was formed by Joe, Dan, and Homemade Sin lead guitarist, Warner E. Hodges.
“Homemade Sin Without Dan Baird: One Tour, Doctor’s Orders.” will feature Homemade Sin and Georgia Satellites material, but will also include a fistful of classics from Warner’s original band, Jason & The Scorchers, along with some specially selected covers.
The diverse lineup on the Credit Union of Ohio Americana Main Stage includes the Hellroys, Erika Hughes & the Well Mannered, the Boondogglers, Lydia Brownfield & the Jagged Hearts, the Devil Doves, and Sean Marshall & the Near Miss.
Despite Dan’s absence, Homemade Sin’s headlining set at Old Hilliardfest 2017 is sure to be a chocked full of world class, hard driving, rock ‘n’ roll.
