Lydia Brownfield at Old Hilliardfest 2016
Lydia Brownfield spent many years honing her craft in Atlanta, opening for artists such as Loudon Wainwright III, Peter Case, Shawn Mullins and Indigo Girls, as well as playing shows with her band in the area’s top clubs.
Before settling in Columbus, Lydia became a regular performer in the coffee houses of Greenwich Village, and began a recording career that has continued through the 2016 release of her newest project Ghosts & Lovers (Released in February). Brownfield’s quirky stage presence and obvious delight in performing provide a superb counterpoint to the incisive, aggressive poetry of her lyrics, the velvet explosion of her live show, and a sultry and powerful voice.
Lydia Brownfield and her killer band, The Jagged Hearts, (Billy Zenn, Jeff Dalrymple, Frank Lapinski and Joy Hall) will perform at #OHF2016. Catch them on the Credit Union of Ohio #Americana #HeritageStage , Saturday, September 10th at 5:30 p.m.
